The third film in a franchise, only so few have been decent,
is Men in Black 3 any good or is it another cash in from the now creative-less world
that is Hollywood
now?
For me it’s the former, I enjoyed it. I was never a huge fan of the first two films but they are both pretty decent, they’re funny and tell a good story. Same applies to MIB3 Tommy Lee Jones and Will Smith Return as Agents K & J, their prickly relationship still the same with wise cracking J winding up the older more boring K.
This time however they are up against a new foe… one half of
the Flight of the Conchords (or Jermaine Clement)… who can time travel! He also goes by the name of Boris the Animal,
a rather dangerous villain who K has had trouble with in the past.
There’s time travel, good action, funny jokes and set
pieces. Josh Brolin plays the younger K, who I thought was brilliant in that
role, absolutely spot on casting!
The 3D was decent; they seem to be getting better at that
now. MIB3 surpassed my expectations. All very good indeed!
